Beginning March 26, 2010, the State of Ohio will provide more than 89,000 rebates to Ohio residential consumers interested in replacing their inefficient appliances with ENERGY STAR® qualified appliances. A total of $10,469,000 is available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The rebates will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for the purchase of select, qualified ENERGY STAR® appliances at Ohio retail locations.
The following table lists the type of appliances eligible for a rebate and the amount and number of rebates that will be available to Ohio consumers for each appliance type.

1 - Only ENERGY STAR® refrigerators with a volume of 7.75 cubic feet or greater are eligible for a rebate, mini-refrigerators are not eligible for a rebate.

(Please note: When viewing this document, you may discover several products highlighted in a different color font or marked with "no" in the "active" column. This indicates these appliances are no longer manufactured, but they are still eligible for a rebate.)
Rebates are scheduled to become available March 26, 2010. Purchases made prior to March 26, 2010 are not eligible for a rebate. Additional program details will be released in the coming weeks.
All inefficient appliances being replaced through this program with ENERGY STARĀ® qualified appliances need to be recycled according to Ohio and federal law. It is the responsibility of the consumer to recycle their old appliance. The State will publish additional guidance about proper recycling practices prior to the program launch date of March 26, 2010.
Rebates are limited and will only be honored for purchases made within the timeframes specified below, or until funds are depleted (whichever comes first), on a first-come-first-served basis:
